Total Product Design from Start to Finish

At ZETA Engineering Company we specialize in quality and speed. In today’s market, these attributes are what it takes to be successful. We offer multiple services in- house to reduce the cost and timeline of every project.

Conceptual Design

We use Creo Elements/Direct Modeling for our conceptual design. This shortens the design process since the concepts are in a solid model database. These concepts can be rendered to generate photo-realistic images with ray tracing, shadows, texture/bump/decal mapping and anti-aliasing. Any number of directional, point or spotlights can be created; special effects include fogs and gels. 3D animation can be added for visual effects or mechanical motion simulation.

Product Development

Creo’s Elements/Direct Modeling is our CAD system of choice. It enables us to leverage the benefits of modeling parametrics, while retaining the flexibility of dynamic-modeling functionality. With dynamic modeling, we can modify designs irrespective of design history. Elements/Direct Modeling was developed to support users faced with extensive design changes and companies that need to explore alternatives. The more iterations done up front, where costs are less, the better the design will be when it enters production. Combining this tool with our experience allows us to provide our customers the best service, where time to market and innovation are critical in driving their business.

Drafting

The 2-D drafting process is still critical to the success of the product-development cycle. We use Creo’s Annotator which allows us to quickly generate 2D drawings. Since it is integrated with Elements/Direct Modeling, any changes made to the solid model are automatically updated.

Rapid Prototyping

Prototyping is essential to analyze your product and make sure that it is ready for the end-user. Having the product on a computer screen allows us to to perform stress tests, tolerance stack ups, and analyze general mechanics; but the screen will never tell you how the product feels in your hand. Thankfully, today’s technology allows us to 3-D print the model within hours. A 3-D model can give you the spatial sense of how your product feels and behaves in the real world. If the project can not be 3-D printed, we have CNC Machinists and other means of creating near exact working models. Vigorous testing on prototypes allows us to make pre- production changes that would otherwise be costly down the road. It also ensures that your customers will be satisfied with your product.
