Rubber Molding | ![]() |
Silicone Rubber Molding is a replication process that uses silicone rubber as a mold and polyurethane, epoxy, or wax as a casting material. A master pattern made from Stereolithography/Selective Laser Sintering, Laminated Object Manufacturing, wood, plastic, or metal is used to form the cavity in the silicone mold. A variety of casting materials can be used that simulate the mechanical properties of production materials. Tolerances of +/- .010" from the master pattern can be achieved.
